Calafuria

WHAT
Calafuria is a collection of outdoor furniture inspired by
the natural shapes of the coast and the sea, designed
to elegantly “populate” exterior spaces such as yachts,
villas, and exclusive environments.
Among the first pieces of this collection is Echinus, a
modular seating system inspired by the organic form of
the sea urchin, conceived to offer flexible configurations
with an iconic design.
WHO
I’m Jacopo Leoni, a yacht and product designer with
experience in custom projects for shipyards and private
clients.

WHERE
Designed for outdoor use, the pieces in this collection
integrate seamlessly into their surroundings, recalling
the shapes and atmospheres of the marine landscape.
They adapt naturally to terraces, yacht decks, gardens,
and lounge verandas.

WHEN
The outdoor market is evolving: hybrid and transformable
spaces are growing—such as verandas, covered
decks, and opening lounges—that blur the boundaries
between indoors and outdoors, making them
usable all year round.
At the same time, demand is rising for versatile furniture
that works in both conditions, with a strong identity,
distinctive aesthetics, and a focus on sustainability.
The Calafuria collection was created precisely to meet
this new need.
